A Welcome Address
From the Principal

This is a welcome speech by the newly appointed Principal, Olobio O.A.E Mrs as she settles down to the enormous tasks ahead of her.
FGGC IMIRINGI, a citadel of academic excellence, patriotism and national unity. Federal Government Girls’ College, Imiringi, (FGGC IMIRINGI) was established in 1999 but commenced activities in 2000 as a model institution of national unity and academic excellence. It has a clear focus on the girl child education to produce students competing favourably nationally and internationally. It mainly offers boarding facilities.
The college runs a complete Junior and Senior Secondary School curriculum for subjects domiciled within five academic departments-Mathematics/Computer Studies; Languages; Vocational and Technical; Arts and Social Sciences; and Sciences-which are coordinated by seasoned heads of departments. Reputable co-curricular activities are run by various clubs namely: Jets Club; Press Club, Literary and Debating Club, Computer & Robotics Club; Peace & Security Club; Red Cross; Girls’ Guide; Commonwealth Club; Tax Club and others which would be inaugurated for the benefit of our students.
Academic activities of the College are complimented by quality support services. Recently we commissioned a 20 Bed Spaced College Clinic and KVA Solar facility which provides electricity for the administrative block, the classrooms, laboratories, the hostels and some of the staff quarters . It is also proper to mention the existence of world class ICT services provided by Infosys, Skool Media and Crystal Technologies in driving the FME’s e-learning campaign. Indeed our facilities are top class conducive for teaching and learning.
The college has witnessed rapid transformation in the area of infrastructure since its inception upon which the present Principal, Mrs. O. A. E Olobio, is poised to consolidate upon.
